About the Firm

The Deas Law Firm, LLC was founded in January 2004 by Garryl L. Deas, Esquire. Attorney Deas who is a native of Sumter, South Carolina received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Carolina in 1991 and he earned his Juris Doctor from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1996.

    • Attorney Deas served as Municipal Judge for the Town of Timmonsville, SC from July 2000 until January 2004 and he served as Municipal Judge for the Town of Atlantic Beach, SC from February 2003 until January 2004. Attorney Deas previosly served as the Drug Forfeiture Attorney for the Third Circuit Solicitor, C. Kelly Jackson from 2003-2010.

    After graduating from law school from Syracuse College of Law in Upstate New York, I returned to my hometown of Sumter, SC to pursue my dream of practicing law and to help those in my community who have been wronged or treated unjustly.  In 1996, I arrived in Sumter filled with youthful enthusiasm and vigor and I began my quest to build a positive professional reputation amongst my legal peers and with those I served. 

    Over the past 22 years of practicing law, I have approached every client's case with the same tireless spirit and relentless pursuit for justice and it is my sincere desire to positively impact my community through my work as a legal advocate.  When I embarked upon my journey of establishing The Deas Law Firm, LLC in December of 2003, my vision was to establish a law firm where every client received from me and my staff the highest quality in legal service and our unyielding commitment to solving your legal problems and restoring your peace of mind.  My vision has come to fruition and when you encounter matters in your life that require legal counsel, call us and we will respond promptly regardless of the scope or the complexity of your legal issue.
